Cotton Response to Various Timings of Harvest Aid Treatment

Stephen R. Crawford, Rogers Leonard, and Kathleen R. Carroll

ABSTRACT

A replicated field experiment was conducted at the Northeast Research Station in 1986 to determine the effects of several timings of application of a tank mixture of Dropp + Prep on cotton yield. Timings of applications were based upon the assumption that optimum recoverable yield would be obtained when cotton was treated near 750 DD-60's past peak bloom (PB), or more correctly, past the last point of sustained intensive flowering.
