Management Strategies for Cotton Production in a Semi-Arid, Short-Season Environment: Water Use Considerations.

P.G. Georgen, S.A. Gertsis, and D.R. Krieg

ABSTRACT

in 1984 and 1985 yield results of two experiments, one examining the effects of row width and irrigation, and the other involving the effects of dryland skip-row planting patterns, have shown there is a definite yield advantage with narrow rows. In 1996, additional measurements were taken to provide data on water use and water use efficiency (WUE) of the various row widths and planting patterns.
