Use of Video-Computer Imaging in Research and Crop Management

C.A. Stutte and M.J. Urwiler

ABSTRACT

Video-computer imaging analysis provides rapid quantification of data that can be utilized in molecular as well as field research. Image spectral analysis is useful in mapping and identifying stresses in the field. Image analysis can provide estimates of severity of stress. Video images are acquired in our system using a 'Biovision' 3-tube modified JVC RGB camera, Panasonic Newvicon, and CCD cameras. The images are recorded and stored in VHS format using Panasonic 2400 portable recorder.
