The membership, budget, and activities of INDA, the Association of the Nonwoven Fabric Industry, are discussed. Current and future trends of the North American industry are discussed under the following headings: (1) Forming Methods, (2) Major Markets, (3) Top Manufacturers, and (4) Future Trends. It is predicted that in the major markets (the industrialized countries), United States, Western Europe, and Japan, growth will be slow, around 2-4% per annum whereas markets in developing countries will grow rapidly by 8 to 10% annually.
