LepTon^TM HTK is a new, patented Heliothine diagnostic test kit co-developed by CSIRO, Australia; Cotton Incorporated, USA; and Abbott Laboratories Inc., USA. It differentiates between the tobacco budworm and cotton bollworm at egg and larval stages. LepTon^TM HTK utilizes species-specific monoclonal antibodies to distinguish between the two species. It is easy to use, accurate and results can be obtained in 30 minutes. The test kit can be used in both conventional cotton and Bt cotton.
