The present investigation was undertaken to study the genetic behaviour of some economic characters in two intervaroetial Egyptian cotton (Gossypium barbadense L.) crosses, namely Giza 80 x 5904 E (cross I) and Giza 45 x 5904 E (cross II). Six populations, namely P₁, F₁, F₂, BC₁, BC₂ and P₂ for each cross were studied for estimating genetic variance, stability, heritablity and expected genetic advance upon selection.
