This week’s Cotton Newsline is 3 cuts.  All cuts are Mike Buschermohle, Professor of Precision Agriculture with the University of Tennessee Extension Services.

Suggested introduction cut 1:
Case IH and John Deere have both built cotton pickers with systems that build the cotton module on the machine as it is moving through the field. Mike Buschermohle with the University of Tennessee Extension Service has been collecting in field data to help determine the efficiencies of both machines.

Buschermohle says the in field data is just one piece of the whole picture.

Based on the in field data, Buschermohle says there are several factors that can affect the efficiencies of each cotton picker.
