The Cottonseed Treatment Trials were started in 1936 to evaluate fungicide seed treatments for the control of seedling diseases. Criag Rothrock with the Department of Plant Pathology at the University of Arkansas says, fungicides are one of the most important parts of getting disease control and stand establishment early in the season.
