The projections for the 2009 economy have become more discouraging. Dr. Gary Adams, Vice President of Economics and Policy Analysis for the Council says the pessimism developed over the general economy has affected the 2008 marketing year and will continue to make an impact in 2009.

Suggested introduction cut 2:
Adams says there will probably be a reduction in world cotton production in the 2009 – 2010 calendar year.

Suggested introduction cut 3:
According to Adams we need to pay attention to our competitors.
