In the 2008 Farm Bill, funding for the Environmental Quality Incentives Program, or EQUIP, was increased by more than three billion dollars over ten years.

According to Hebert, the Conservation Stewardship Program, previously known as the
Conservation Security Program, is now available nationwide and has new eligibility requirements.

Hebert believes the new administration will enthusiastically embrace helping farmers with conservation and environmental practices on their farms.
