In the 2008 Farm Bill, funding for the Environmental Quality Incentives Program, or EQUIP, was increased by more than three billion dollars over ten years. Thomas Hebert, Senior Vice President of Government Relations for Ogilvy says there will be a lot of great opportunities for farmers and cautions that they should look for assistance in their plans to improve conservation practices.

According to Hebert, the Conservation Stewardship Program, previously known as the
Conservation Security Program, is now available nationwide and has new eligibility requirements.
