EPA announced it is taking action to revoke food tolerance for residues of carbofuran.

This week’s Cotton Newsline is 3 cuts.  All cuts are Keith Menchey (pronounced Men-chee),  Manager of Science and Environmental Issues at National Cotton Council.

EPA announced it is taking action to revoke food tolerance for residues of carbofuran.  According to Keith Menchey, Manager of Science and Environmental Issues for the National Cotton Council a pesticide can not be registered without a tolerance.

Suggested introduction cut 2:
Menchey says for cotton this is a potential loss of critical products for aphid control.

Suggested introduction cut 3:
Menchey says the National Cotton Council has worked with FMC and commodity groups to communicate carbofuran’s benefits.
