Congress passed the Food, Conservation and Energy Act of 2008 by a strong majority.  Gary Adams, Vice President of Economics and Policy Analysis for the National Cotton Council says this bill contains a similar safety structure as the 2002 farm bill. 

Suggested introduction cut 2:
According to Adams, The National Cotton Council is glad to see the House and Senate pass this bill by such a large margin.

Suggested introduction cut 3:
Adams commends the cotton industry for calling on their congressional leaders.

Suggested introduction cut 4:
Adams says the Council would like to thank the members of Congress who worked hard and advocated the priorities of the cotton industry.
