Suggested introduction cut 1:
Congress passed another one month extension of current farm legislation effective through April 18 to allow more time to develop consensus on new legislation. Dr. Gary Adams, Vice-President of Economics and Policy Analysis for the National Cotton Council, is optimistic Congress will meet the deadline.

Suggested introduction cut 2:
Adams hopes a long term extension of existing legislation is not necessary.

Suggested introduction cut 3:
Adams believes high commodity prices are creating less of a sense of uncertainty for producers.
