The World Trade Organization's Compliance Panel made its final ruling on Brazil's case against U.S. cotton subsidies.

The World Trade Organization's Compliance Panel made its final ruling on Brazil's case against U.S. cotton subsidies. According to Bill Gillon, General Council for the National Cotton Council, the WTO says despite elimination of the Step Two cotton subsidy program, the U.S. has failed to conform to the previous WTO decision issued in July.

Gillon expects the U.S. Trade Representative to appeal the compliance panel report.

Gillon says a decision on an appeal wouldn’t happen until Spring.
