Right now the sales of U.S. cotton exports are slower than hoped. According to Allen Terhaar, Executive Director of Cotton Council International, that’s particularly true of China, but elsewhere in the world, they’re holding fairly strong.

Terhaar says another negative is that there is continued over capacity in Asia in the synthetic fiber manufacturing area.

Tehaar believes there are a number of underlying factors that are positive.
