In testimony before the House Ag Committee on Wednesday, John Pucheu, Chairman of the National Cotton Council, reaffirmed the Council’s recommendation that new farm legislation be patterned after the basic provisions of the 2002 farm bill.

Pucheu reiterated the Council’s concern about the administrations proposal to implement a formula that would result in a sudden, precipitous drop in the cotton loan rate.
