New provisions for USDA’s Cotton Marketing Assistance Loan program went into effect on Wednesday.

This week’s Cotton Newsline is 3 cuts.  All cuts are Dr. Mark Lange, President and CEO of the National Cotton Council. This is part 2 of a two part series on new provisions for the Cotton Marketing Assistance Loan Program. 

Suggested introduction cut 1:

New provisions for USDA’s Cotton Marketing Assistance Loan program went into effect on Wednesday. According to Dr. Mark Lange, President and CEO for the National Cotton Council, warehouses, marketing cooperatives and merchants are the ones affected by the new rule.

Suggested introduction cut 2:

Lange says warehouses will also have a new role of submitting weekly reports to the Commodity Credit Corporation on their bales made available for shipment.

Suggested introduction cut 3:

Lange believes the new rules could impact the timing of decisions for exporters.
