This week’s Cotton Newsline is 2 cuts.  This is Part 2 of the story that ran Wednesday 7/5/06.  All cuts are Mr. Bobby Greene a ginner and warehouseman from Courtland, Alabama. Mr. Greene is Chairman for the National Cotton Council Performance and Standards Task Force and the Cotton Flow Committee.

The National Cotton Council Performance and Standards Task Force submitted recommendations on USDA’s proposed cotton flow rule.  Bobby Greene, Chairman of the Task Force, says the committee urged additional steps be taken regarding enforcement of the existing four and a half percent minimum industry shipping standard.

Suggested introduction cut 2:

Greene says the Task Force also recommended setting up a pilot reporting system that will be purely voluntary but would have the goal of enhancing the service that warehouses provide the merchants.
