This week’s Cotton Newsline is 3 cuts. All cuts are Dr. Gary Adams, Vice-President of Economics and Policy Analysis for the National Cotton Council.
Suggested introduction cut 1:
In the June acreage report USDA says that all cotton acreage for 2006 is now estimated at just under fifteen point three million acres. According to Gary Adams, Vice-President of Economics and Policy Analysis for the National Cotton Council that number is up about seven percent from the 2005 number.

Adams says most states are seeing an increase in upland cotton acres.

Adams believes some of the acreage increases came down to dollars.
