USDA’s Farm Service Agency has established new policy and procedures for the 2005 and subsequent crop years of upland cotton for producers applying for loan deficiency payment benefits or LDPs.

This week’s Cotton Newsline is 3 cuts.  All cuts are Craig Brown, Vice President of Producer Affairs for the National Cotton Council.

Craig Brown, Vice President of Producer Affairs for the National Cotton Council says this form is really a safeguard that keeps growers from inadvertently becoming ineligible for LDPs based on something they did in their contracts.

Brown says producers need to go to their local Farm Service Agency to sign the forms.
