The House narrowly approved the Central American Free Trade Agreement with a final tally of 217 to 215 early Thursday morning.

This week’s Cotton Newsline is 3 cuts.  Cuts one and two are Jimmy Webb a cotton producer from Leary, Georgia. Cut two is Sam Spruell a cotton producer from Mt. Hope, Alabama.

The House narrowly approved the Central American Free Trade Agreement with a final tally of 217 to 215 early Thursday morning.  Jimmy Webb, a cotton producer from Leary, Georgia was in Washington prior to the vote telling his local congressmen why they should support CAFTA.

Suggested introduction cut 2:

Webb believes taking the time to go to Washington to speak to his local congressman face to face helped make a difference.

Suggested introduction cut 3:

Sam Spruell a cotton producer from Mt Hope, Alabama was also in Washington speaking to representatives from Alabama. He is glad the House passed the CAFTA treaty and believes it will be good for cotton producers.
