Cotton Council International plays a major role in strengthening key markets for U.S. cotton and U.S cotton products in Europe, Asia, Latin America, the Middle East and Africa. 

This week’s Cotton Newsline is three cuts. All cuts are Drayton Mayers Director of Industry Services for Cotton Council International.

CCI also has trade missions that come to the United States to show buyers how U.S. cotton and U.S. cotton products are produced.

CCI supports the exports of U.S. made textiles - made with 100 percent U.S. grown cotton - through the COTTON USA Sourcing program as well. Mayers, explains why this program is so important.

According to Mayers out of the 6.2 million bales currently consumed by U.S. textiles some 4.5 million bales are being exported as either yarn or fabric to those regions.
