A decision on the Brazil/WTO cotton case could be reached as early as March.

This week’s Cotton Newsline is three cuts. All cuts are Woods Eastland, recently elected chairman of the National Cotton Council. Eastland also serves as president and chief executive officer of Greenville, Mississippi based Staplcotn.

During recent comments at the Louisiana Cotton Producers meeting, Eastland said the Council will continue to monitor China’s trade obligations required under the WTO.

Suggested introduction for cut three:

Eastland believes the Brazil decision by the WTO next month will end favorably for U.S. cotton.
