The Farm Service Agency will roll out two online cotton management programs this fall, according to John Johnson, the agency's deputy administrator for Farm Programs.

The Farm Service Agency will roll out two online cotton management programs this fall, according to John Johnson, the agency’s deputy administrator for Farm Programs. The first, known as the centralized cotton redemption system, is an online bale redemption for merchants.

After several years of beta testing, an electronic LDP program also will be accessible this fall through FSA’s web site at www.fsa.usda.gov

For the time being, electronic LDP programs for cotton will only be available at county service centers. Johnson is hopeful the day will come when cotton producers will be able to manage LDP programs from personal computers.
