The National Cotton Council is currently accepting applications for the 2004/2005 Cotton Leadership Class. Jimmy Sanford, chairperson of the Cotton Leadership Committee, reviews eligibility requirements for class participants.

Applicants selected for the Cotton Leadership Class participate in several activities throughout the year, including five, one-week retreats that provide specialized insight into the wide scope of the U.S. cotton industry.

Currently entering its twenty-first year, the Cotton Leadership Class is much more than education. Although Sanford knows members benefit from in-depth sessions ranging from understanding economic issues that affect the industry to training in public speaking and media relations, there is one key thing each Leadership Class always takes home – and that is life-long connections.

With a deadline of July 1, 2004, people interested in applying for the 2004/05 Cotton Leadership Class can gather information through a variety of ways.
