Evaluation of Naturalis-L in Small Plots in the Northeast Louisiana Delta Environment

E. Burris

ABSTRACT

Naturalis-L (Beauveria bassiana) was evaluated for control of boll weevil and tarnished plant bug at the Northeast Research Station, St. Joseph, LA in 1992 and 1993. In the 1992 test, Naturalis-L applied alone gave no significant control, however these observations probably resulted from high rainfall in June. In 1993, Naturalis-L applied alone and in combination with Dipel ES did not control the tarnished plant bug or boll weevil populations adequately. It apparently improved control when applied in combination with malathion and Asana XL. In both years, treatment ratings with Naturalis-L showed no apparent reduction in beneficial insects.
