A set of calibration cottons selected for their close micronaire values were evaluated by image analysis and AFIS because HVI results by the two HVI systems did not agree on all samples. Results from image analysis and AFIS revealed that samples that did not agree had larger perimeters and were immature. Two possible explanations are offered for differences in behavior of the two HVI systems. |
