ABSTRACT
This paper reviewed briefly the research and development of electrostatic spinning in China. It pointed out the main problem of the existing electrostatic spinning system was its speed level which doubled that of ring spinning yet much lower than that of other O.E. spinning systems. A new device aiming at increase of speed was introduced. The new device is able to control the unstable free-end yarn tail at a higher speed with a result of significant increase of spinning speed from 50 M/min to 100 M/min. The functions of this new device and experimental results were given in this paper.
