Sticky cottons from the Western United States were treated at ginning by overspraying seed cotton with selected additives. The treated cottons were roller ginned and then were evaluated for stickiness at the carding stage of the yarn manufacturing process both in 100% form and in blends with nonsticky cotton. Stickiness of both the 100% cotton and the blends was reduced to varying degrees by the additives. |
