Charles T. Allen, Douglass E. Stevenson and Michael Mallet

ABSTRACT

Karate at .03 lbs ai/ac was consistently the most effective ovicide tested. It provided significantly greater mortality than all treatments except Larvin when 0 through 6 day post-treatment data were combined. Average egg mortality in the Check was 25%. Guthion, Lannate, Curacron, ovasyn and Galecron applied at midrange ovicidal rates clustered around 60% control of bollworm eggs. Larvin at the mid-range ovicide rate averaged 70% control. Karate at the larvacide rate ave 92% control of eggs.
