Evaluation of T25 Germplasm for Improved Fiber Properties and Bacterial Blight Resistance

R.E. Dilbeck and J.E. Quisenberry

ABSTRACT

Variation for fiber length, strength, and micronaire were found among selections of seven strains of T-25 germplasm. Selections were identified that combined good length, high strength and premium micronaire. Bacterial blight ratings for this material ranged from immune to susceptible, with selections from each of the seven strains being immune to bacterial blight races 1, 2, 7 and 18.
